Patricia Johnson authors novels of different and mixed genres. Her first series, the Donovan Family Chronicles which is a combination of mystery, romance, fantasy and continuing family drama. The first four novels in the series are on sale now. Books 5 and 6 of the series are scheduled for release in 2026. Two vastly different time travel novels are to be released soon. One is a time travel romance, and the other is a sci-fi fantasy. Another book coming in 2026 will be a historical spy romantic adventure set in Elizabethan England. Another work coming in the next couple of years will be a fantasy novel about a witch couple throughout history.

My Journey

I am a lifelong lover of reading. I have read thousands of books in my life. I have always created stories since I was a child. I would read a book, and say to myself, “I could add another character to the story,” and that is how it began. I would create characters and put them in small notebooks my dad bought for me. I never considered I could write books for a living, that was something other people did, I told myself. So, as an adult, I worked at other jobs, while in the back of my mind, I always knew I wanted to create stories and worlds of my own. I continued writing as a creative hobby for many years, it was a form of escapism and to let my creative juices flow. It was something just for me.

 A few years ago, I shared a story and someone said, you should try and publish. So, I decided to see if I could author a book from beginning to end. Just once. Awakening Dreams is the result of that effort. I learned however, that just writing stories for my own amusement was vastly different than trying to write a novel for publication and then there was formatting, editing, and the publishing world to learn. I have learned a lot that I did not know a decade ago. I am still learning more about everything. It is an interesting journey. Beyond writing, some of my favorite things are history, genealogy, photography and traveling.
