Paige, a modern witch of ancient Celtic bloodlines has disturbing dreams of a murder which is linked to a serial killer that is terrorizing the Virginia, Maryland, Washington DC areas for the past eighteen months. The FBI task force is unaware of the killer's identity, but Paige sees his face through the murdered victim's eyes. When she goes to Washington to speak to the FBI, she has little hope of them believing her until she meets Michael Donovan, an FBI agent on the task force hunting the killer. Michael fights his boss to convince him to allow Paige to assist them in hunting for the killer. As Paige comes to know Michael, she has disturbing dreams of him, which leads her to wonder if she knew him in another life. Meanwhile, the serial killer becomes obsessed with Paige, putting her life in danger at every turn, as the killer plays cat and mouse with Michael and the FBI.
